First day of school

Ready or not here we go!!! Trevor started 6th grade, Ethan 4th, and Kate 1st. Our morning started out smoothly, all the kids laid their outfits out the night before. We got up and had breakfast made lunches and then we were out the door. They all wanted to get there early with plenty of time to see their friends and play.

It was fun to get there and see them so happy to be back at school. Kate was the only one who let me take a picture at her desk, and she was still a little camera shy. After we dropped Kate's backpack off we went to the black top play area. It was fun to sort of spy on the boys and see them with all their friends. Trevor is the big man on campus now being a 6th grader. He already found his entourage and came up to Kate with all his friends and gave her a high five, it was so cute and made Kate feel special. Ethan found his friends too, it was fun to see them in their element and brought back memories of my first day of school when I was a kid.

We spent the day in LA on Saturday and were able to go to the La Brea tar pits. Afterwards we went out to lunch and then to Ryan and Taryn's house. The kids had fun swimming. My parents were also there along with Joy and her kids. It was a great day and perfect way to end our summer.

Noah at 4 1/2 months. I love that his hair is coming in a little thicker. He is so much fun!

Our day fishing in Big Bear lake!

We spent all day Wednesday up at Big Bear. It was absolutely gorgeous! We rented a boat and the kids got to fish. Trevor and Ethan were brave enough to jump in the really cold water for a quick swim. Grandma Thompson, Aunt Kim, and her kids were all with us. . I enjoyed being in the clean air and the view of all the pine trees was beautiful! We can't wait to go back and wonder why we haven't gone before. It was only an hour and a half away from our house. It was just a really fun day.

Good Job Ethan!! Poor Ethan was eating a sugar daddy sucker when all of a sudden we see his tooth stuck on the sticky caramel. It had come completely out, the whole tooth. It was the funniest thing to see! At first I wondered if it was his adult tooth but then realized he had a loose tooth already and all it needed to come out was really sticky candy.

Kate was happy to be there... I thought this was a cute picture of her. Of course she had to wear her brand new school shirt to fish in:)

Mack's very first fish (we released all the fish we caught back in the water:) I always feel sorry for the poor fish. The thought of a hook stuck in their mouth...ouch!

Noah was an absolute angel on the boat and was happy the whole time!

We had a great day and can't wait to go back.

We got invited to the circus, it was great! Kate's little friend invited Kate and Mack. They had a suite so our seats were so good. I don't think I have ever been to the circus, it was so much fun! Thank goodness the boys had something fun to do, they got to go to a birthday party that day so everyone was happy! Especially Todd because he got to spend some good quality time with Noah at home:)

My favorite part of the show were the elephants, they were amazing...all the things they could do..it was so great!

Todd has been gone since Wednesday on his annual fishing trip with his dad and brothers so I have been a single parent the past 4 days. This year the guys rented a HUGE RV. He comes home tomorrow and everyone is counting down the minutes for him to be home.

Noah turned 4 months yesterday! Seriously where has the time gone?? He loves to grab his feet when he's on his back, and he loves to suck on his hands. He is such a happy baby and will smile for anyone who looks at him...I love that. He has a Dr. appointment on Friday and I'm just dreading him having to get his shots. I postponed his two month shots because I just hate them so he will be getting his first series of shots on Friday. I know it's important but I can't help but feel like I'm putting poison inside of him.
