We had a BALL at Nate's first birthday!

Last week we were able to attend my nephews first birthday party. It was "ball" themed. My SIL Taryn is so creative and did so many cute things, from the invitations, to the decorations, food, hand outs...it was so cute! In fact I loved it so much that I'm stealing her idea for Noah's birthday when he turns one.

Here is Noah at 5 months old. I love that he has hair, it's fun to spike it up. (Since I can't do curls and bows...this is the next best thing :)

Here is the birthday boy Nate. Isn't he the cutest little boy! He had a full audience watching him eat his cake. I don't think he knew what to think with all of us watching him.

I thought this picture was cute of Noah...

Here is a recent picture of Rambis (yes that would be after Kurt Rambis for all you Laker fans out there:) He just got his bath so I was giving him some extra attention. I'm not fond of "smelly dog" but when he's clean I can stand to give him loves.
He has been a pretty good dog except for the fact that Kate refuses to go outside. Although Rambis's chewing days are over (mostly) he's getting better...she still is deathly afraid of him. This makes it hard because Mack and Kate used to play outside all the time and now that Kate won't go outside, Mack won't either. We need to get some sort of cage for him...SOON!

Here is a picture of Trevor with his Mohawk. K, let me explain......It was late Thursday night and Todd was getting ready to give him a fresh buzz, his old one had grown out...well Trevor asked Todd if he could have a Mohawk for his football game that coming Saturday and Todd agreed. He promised me that it would be cut Saturday night before church.
Only problem is Saturday was SUPER busy and that hair cut never happened...hopefully that will get done tonight heehee

Catch-up post!

Kate celebrated her 6th birthday last Friday. She invited 12 of her friends over for a Hannah Montana party. She had a great time! All the girls were so cute and so well behaved. They played hot potato (but with a micro phone) sang and danced to a Hannah Montana dance video, played outside, and ate pizza and cupcakes.
I can't believe my little girl is 6! This age is so much fun. She is my little buddy. We love to shop together, do hair and make up, she is a mommy in the making with little Noah, and is such a sweet girl. She has lots of friends, and always includes Mack. She loves to sleep! (I wonder where she gets that one...um that would be me :). When she's tired she just goes to bed (must be nice)...the other kids we have to make them go to bed :). She is a healthy eater (I really wonder where she gets that...um NOT me :) HA! She loves to eat fruit and vegetables. Of course she's like every kid and loves candy too!
She loves all her cousins and can't get enough of Grandpa Thompson. Even though she is 6 now, she still loves for him to carry her around. You can always find her on his lap at church every Sunday or on his shoulders whenever he's around.

Here are all the girls eating pizza... Kate's favorite!

Here she is blowing out her candles...

Mack started preschool last week and loves it! It's two days a week at my SIL's house. She has been teaching preschool for years, she's the best. Ethan and Kate both went there. Now it's Mack's turn and it's been so great. He gets to go with his cousins Bryce and Drew and lots of friends from church. We were on her waiting list and got lucky enough to get in because someone dropped out a few days before school started.

All the kids are doing well adjusting to their life back at school. Trevor has had a ton of homework but he does a good job of getting it all done on his own, I'm grateful for that day to finally be here:)
The boys had their first football game last Saturday, both scoring touchdowns for their teams, it was exciting and they were so happy!

Groom Creek, AZ trip

We spent the three day weekend at this cabin. It's my Mom's cabin that her family owns. She grew up spending every summer there with her parents when she was a little girl. I haven't been there in over 20 years! I was so happy to go back, it brought back lots of memories and I was excited for my kids to be able to experience Groom Creek and build memories of their own. It's just beautiful! It's so green, with so many pine trees. The weather was perfect. On Sunday it rained, so the creek right next to the cabin was running. We had such a wonderful time! I can't wait to go back.

Right in front of the cabin is a huge grass area where the kids played. It also has a covered patio area where we ate dinner every night. Look at those beautiful trees!

This picture was taken right in front of the cabin after the kids fed the squirrels some peanuts.

Noah's (almost) 5 month picture. He was an absolute angel! What baby wouldn't be...he was outside, held and spoiled the whole time.

This is a mountain to the right of the cabin that all the kids love to climb. I have had my fair share of skinned knees as a kid climbing this thing.

I wish that we could have stayed longer, it was the perfect mini vacation. Oh, I forgot to mention that my parents were there, my sister Melissa and her family, and my sister Candice and her husband Troy. Melissa's husband Jess brought up quads so the boys had a blast riding. Todd also took the kids fishing at the lake on Saturday.

We are home now and back to reality. The kids go back to school tomorrow. Mack starts his first day of preschool. He is so excited! I'm happy because my laundry is (almost) done, I got my car cleaned, and Todd cleared out the whole garage and cleaned it all up. What more could a woman ask for :)
