January is almost over!

I can't believe that January is almost over! My Tuesday's are always the same...baby-sit Drew, and mutual tonight. I feel like I just wrote about Mutual...crazy! Tonight we are working on Personal Progress.
Last night I brought in dinner to my friend who just had a baby. It was so fun to get to hold her newborn. You really forget how small they are and oh so cute! Why does it have to be so hard though to have a baby. Of course we love them so much but geesh...all we have to go through to get them here. I would enjoy being pregnant for a couple of months but after that it's not so fun for me. Why does it have to be 9 whole months...... Even though the newborn stage is fun, for me it's the hardest stage. My hormones are out of control, the nursing is hard, the sleep deprivation, and the list goes on....Our Young Woman's lesson two weeks ago was about building the Kingdom of God through personal sacrifice. It hit me that going through all we do to bring these spirits down to earth is truly a "personal sacrifice". But by doing so we are helping to build Heavenly Father's kingdom and we will be blessed for it. Hearing this lesson was good for me and it helped me feel better about my decision to have more children. Well, one more that is-hahaha
Now all I have to do is have Todd read the lesson so that he will feel the same way-hahaha

Do you like the new look???

So how do you like my new look? Ok, so I'm starting to figure out how this blog works?!?! I wish I had a picture of my family downloaded on my computer. I guess the picture of the bro's and sister's will have to work-haha
Today has been a good day. Church was good, Mack went to nursery and didn't cry, the kids were okay during sacrament meeting. It's nice that my 10 year old can help out with Mack and take him out when he gets too loud. I was able to enjoy the wonderful talks that were given. We went to Chino to have dinner with my parents. It was fun. The kids always enjoy getting to play with their cousins. I always love being around my family. It's pretty late so I will post tomorrow.

Finally got a shower-YAH!

Tuesday's are usually my stay at home days since I baby-sit. I finally finished all the laundry!I'm so happy....I haven't been cleaning today but I have spent ALL day picking up and putting things away. Wow what a job that can be.! It's 4:00 o'clock and I finally got my shower, dressed, and ready for the day. I know pretty pathetic-haha
Tonight is mutual and the girls want to make blankets. The fleece blankets that you tie. I figure I can handle that!! I'm on my way to Joann's, they are having a sale on all their fleece. Talk about waiting until the last minute! I only have 3 beehives so hopefully it won't cost that much. I figure I can turn in the receipt and maybe only pay a little out of my pocket, depending on how much it ends up costing.
Tonight's dinner is spaghetti, and a chocolate cake for dessert. I thought we had the scout blue and gold dinner tonight so I made a chocolate cake, come to find out it's next month!

Laundry is out of control!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man, I have a ton of laundry to do! It's seriously out of control!
Today started with a good run, my friend measured our path and it's 3.4 miles! We run the whole way (except for two short stops to catch our breath after some really steep hills).
I'm so proud of myself-haha, I have NO desire to run any further than that. My friend Andrea wants to run a half marathon. I admire anyone who can do that...I really just have no desire, it's way too hard!!! hahaha
We had a pretty good weekend. Saturday the boys had a basketball game. My parents drove out to see them play which was really nice! Saturday night we went to our friend Sheldon's birthday party. They served Indian food. It was pretty tasty. Todd was pretty tired and wiped out . He was at the baseball park all day and squeezed in coaching the boys basketball game in between and then back to the baseball field until 8:00pm . He was so wiped out and wasn't feeling well so we ended up leaving the party at 10:30. It was good to get home early since church is now at 9:00am.
Sunday was a good day, All of the talks were really good. Some days I wake up and I really just don't feel like getting EVERYBODY ready...but once your there your always so glad. Young Woman's is so much fun. I LOVE my Beehives. They are so excited to be there, and they actually like me and think I'm cool, it's great! We headed up to Todd's parent's house for dinner. I made dinner this time, everyone seemed to like it so that was nice!
Well, off to change another load of laundry!!

Gotta Love Friday's!

Today started with a good run, I ate a bananna before I left, it seemed to help. Wednesday's run I felt so sick, I think it helps to eat something small before I go.
I ran a few errands this morning...Anna is over today playing with Kate. They play so well together. They LOVE to play dress up. Mack is down for a nap. I think I just heard him though... darn I'm not ready for him to wake up! He didn't sleep for very long.
Not much else is going on, it should be a quiet night. The boys have baseball try-outs.
Mack just ran in so I guess that's it for now!

Working hard today...

Here is a picture of my nephew Drew and Mack eating a snack. Every Tuesday I watch Drew while Kate is at preschool. His Mom Heather is Kate's preschool teacher. The money I get from watching Drew I use towards preschool tuition. I save about $60 dollars each month. I was worried that the boys wouldn't get along because of their ages, but they really play pretty good. On Thursday's when Kate has preschool again I get to do my own thing.
Today I have been cleaning. I really want the closets and drawers to be more organized. I am getting rid of a ton of junk. It feels good to not have so much clutter! It amazes me how much one can accumulate! Tonight is mutual, it's a joint activity so all I have to do is show up. I don't know what to fix for dinner, I wish I did a better job at making dinner every night... I just get sick of the same things.
I'm so excited! My sister Melissa and I have planned a trip to New York! I wish that all of my sisters could go but it ended up that Melissa and I were the only two that could go. We leave March 7th and come home the 11th. It will be a quick trip. I feel bad that I'm going without Todd but New York isn't a trip that really interests him very much (he loves Hawaii)! Also, if Todd went it would cost so much more (more than double), and the last factor is I don't have anyone who can watch the kids?!? I will find someone to be here during the day. Then Todd will be home with the kids when he gets home from work. He is ok with it.. so hopefully it works out!
We are so excited! We are going to see 2 Broadway shows, tons of sight seeing, shopping, and of course EATING tons of pizza! We got a really good deal on our Hotel through priceline. It's going to be great! If anyone has been to New York I would love to hear your suggestions!

MLK Day

Today was a great day. We went to Chino to spend the day at my parents house and let the kids play with their cousins. The boys got to go and see a movie while I stayed and visited with my Mom and sister. I didn't want to stay home today and was determined to go out and do something fun. We all ended up having a great time! My Mom made spaghetti...I love not having to fix anything for dinner. Why does your Mom's food always tastes better?!?
We are home now and the kids are picking up their rooms. Todd is helping out with that...I told him I had the kids all day it's his turn. He is leaving at 9:00 to go to the gym so I get a little break before he leaves. He wants to loose some weight, so he is starting his "diet" today. We should probably do a quick FHE before he leaves. My Mom gave me cool church picture/story things that would be perfect (thanks Mom)!
Mack seems to be coming down with a cough...he was up coughing a lot through the night, I hope tonight is better and that we both get some sleep! I just washed my sheets, I LOVE clean sheets!!

12 years!!

January 13, 2007 is our 12 year anniversary! I do not have a good camera, I had to take a picture of a picture on the wall. This was the best I could do!! (so sad)

Today has been a really busy day for our family. We had the boys basketball pictures, a game, and Kate got invited to a birthday party...so we decided to celebrate our anniversary yesterday. We had such a good time just spending the day together. We left around 2:00 and went and ate at Jonny Carino's Italian restaurant. It was great that we had no wait and got to go right in. After that we went to Victoria Gardens. It's an outdoor mall. There are so many cool, fun stores! I bought a few things at Kirkland (my new favorite store). It's a home decor store with great prices. After that we went and visited my friend Erin who lives right next to Victoria Gardens. Her husband was making dinner. He loves to cook for her and both Todd and I were impressed at his cooking skills! We stayed for about an hour and then went to the movies. We ended up seeing Casino Royale. That was such a good movie. Daniel Craig who plays Bond is pretty nice eye candy-hehe. After the movie was over we walked around Ontario Mills and bought a piece of cheesecake, on our way out we saw Krispie Kreme and HAD to go and get a dozen glazed hot donuts to take home for the kids. Talk about my kind of day...eating good food, shopping, movies, and more good food! It was just a fun, great day!

12 reasons why I love Todd...

6). He is very handsome (tall, dark, and handsome)!

11). He loves his family (a little bit of a mamma's boy-hehe) he loves my family too!

12). He is confident (but not overly confident) and knows what he wants. He told me that he loved me and that I was going to be his wife after our 2nd or 3rd date!! (gotta love that-haha)

Boys will be boys!

I can't believe that Mack is 18 months old! It goes by so fast! Hello nursery!!!

Boys are so much fun. I just had to post this picture because the hat that he is wearing is his favorite right now. He even trys to sleep with it on! It's so cute that he loves it so much! Wahoo! It's Friday! Tonight we are going out to dinner for a friends birthday. We are going to El Torito. It should be fun...I even have a sitter! Today has been good. I got the house cleaned up, laundry done (almost, is it ever done). I am watching a little girl who is in our ward she is Kate's age so they have playing all afternoon.

I bought the book "That we might have Joy" by Lucille Johnson for my friend Erin. My friend Maryann recommended it to me. I thought I should read it before I gave it to her (it's a quick read). It was such a good book! I loved it so much. It makes me want to buy 10 more to give out to all my friends. It's about the importance of nurturing hope and happiness in each stage of our lives-regardless of the circumstances that surround us.

Have a great weekend everyone!

New Years Day Great! New Years Eve..Not so great!

That's right, we ALL got the flu! I will spare you the details but it was so NOT fun! New Year's Eve i was sick but by Monday New Years Day I was feeling better! Todd took the kids to his parents house to watch football and I got to go out to lunch and to a movie with my mother in law, her mother and my sister in law.
We went to Red Robin and then to see Dreamgirls. On Sunday Ethan really wanted to go to church! He got a new suit for Christmas and was excited to wear it. Since the rest of us were sick we sent Kate and Ethan to church with Todd's parents. It's so nice that they are in our ward. I love the New Year and I am so excited to start some of my new goals that I have set for myself! Happy New Year to all!!
