Thursday

Today has been good. I got my carpets cleaned today for the first time in two years. The carpet looks brand new! Kate had preschool today and then was invited to go to a friend's house afterward. I put Mack down for his nap so I decided to lay down and take a nap, it was great. I have a cold which is a bummer I got it from Mack. He had a cold way back in Oct. took so long for him to get rid of it, he finally got rid of it and then when we got together for Thanksgiving there were a ton of cousins with snotty noses and sure enough he caught another one-ugh!! Then he gave it to me. That's the only thing I don't like about the holidays, cold and flu season!
The two older boys should be getting home soon from school, I should try to figure out what to fix for dinner tonight. I think Christina is making brocolli cheese soup! That sounds really good. Soup on a cold day!

Monday

I'm glad to be back into the swing of things. The boys started back to school after a whole week and two days off. It's good to have the routine going again. It's raining today and it's so cold outside! I had to turn on my heater. Today I'm going to stay home and get the laundry all done and the house put back together. I need to go to Kmart this week and pick up some Christmas tree decorations. They have really cool bows. I bought some this weekend but need to get more. Our tree is big and I don't even decorate the side of the tree that is facing the wall, funny huh! To bad I'm not talented enough to just make them on my own-haha gotta love Martha Stewart!!
I was able to go running this morning (before it started to rain) after a whole week off! It was nice. Well, that's it for now!

Sunday

Church starts at 1:00, so we were all able to sleep in! It was great! I was able to work on my lesson for Young Woman's. I got all the kids showered and ready for church. My husband gets home from his meetings around 12:15. I've learned that unless I ask him to help get the kids ready he doenst help? Why is that? Do any of you have this problem?? Doesn't he know that it needs to be done?? Anyway, I end up just doing it all myself... which is fine I have a system so it works out. I just think it's funny!
We usually go to one of our parents houses for dinner but tonight we decided to stay home. It's been nice. I'm making taco salad for dinner. My house is a mess! Why is it that Sunday's the house gets so thrashed??

Today started good...ended not so good...

Well, I officially did the wake up early thing with my sister in-laws who LIVE for the day after Thanksgiving sales! Today started when I woke up at 4:30am! I headed over to Kohls to get a 7 piece luggage set for my brother and sister in law (we drew them this year for X-mas). The set was originally $140, and was marked down to $40 dollars! I was so excited! I also got a $20.00 DVD player. I then headed to Mervyns. I then met up with my sister-in-laws. They went to Walmart at midnight and still had around 50 people in front of them (there crazy)! They basically stayed up all night in line! We were finally done shopping around 7:00am and ended it with breakfast at IHOP.
Later in the evening (after a nap of course!)I started to get the Christmas decorations down. (Thanks Christina for the motivation!) All of a sudden I started to feel really sick to my stomach! I was pretty sick for a few hours. I'm finally starting to feel better. I'm thinking I must have eaten something bad? Weird?!?!? It sure brought back memories of the "morning sickness" feeling!! NOT FUN!!!
Hopefully tomorrow we can get all of the rest of the Christmas decorating done.
Todd had fun with the kids today. They spent most of the day over at his parents house. They always come home filthy! His parents live on 5 acres of dirt! The kids have so much fun! Todd and the boys got invited to go watch football over at the Bishop's house (who is also our neighbor). Mack and Kate are watching 12 dancing princesses. (I think Mack actually likes it-hahaha) I guess today's ending isn't so bad!!! Thank goodness!

Thanksgiving Eve!

Today has been great! Todd has been home all day and we have been cleaning! The kind of cleaning where we even hit the garage! We all look like trash-haha but the house looks great! The weather is so nice too. Now if I could just keep it this way...I'm telling the kids they can't eat or use the restroom-hahaha
I'm really excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow. We will be spending the day with Todd's family. All of Todd's siblings and cousins will be there so it should be a lot of fun.
Donna's post was great! She mentioned all the things that she was thankful for so I thought I would do the same.
I am thankful for the Gospel in my life. For my temple marriage and my eternal family. I love being a Mom and Wife. I know that these years of raising my children will be gone in a flash so I try to treasure every moment. I'm thankful for my parents and the wonderful examples they are to me and have been my whole life. I'm thankful for my 4 sisters who are my best friends and my brother who is also one of my best friends! I love all of my in-laws. Im thankful that I have so many wonderful friends. I'm thankful for all of the comforts of life that I enjoy. I'm thankful for my good health. I'm thankful for the free country that we live in.
My live has been truly blessed, and I'm so thankful!

Is Scouts such a bad Thing???

Tonight after I picked up Trevor from Scouts I headed to the grocery store to pick up a few things. Trevor (my 9 year old) refused to get out of the car because he had his scout shirt on. He started to cry and literally refused to go inside. I couldn't believe it. Anyway to make a long story short Ethan (my 7 year old) offered to swicth shirts with him. I thought that was so sweet of Ethan, as the boys were changing shirts I thanked Ethan for being a peacemaker. Everything was fine after that.
Today was a good day. We got up and ready for the day. We ended up going to the Mall. The kids took a quick picture with Santa, 13 bucks later, such a rip off! After the Mall we went and picked up pictures from costco. The kids wanted to eat lunch there, it was pretty good. After costco we headed home so the baby could take his nap. The kids went outside and played while I picked up the house real quick.
Todd gets home later on tonight from a golf trip. He went with a group of guys to Bajamar Mexico. He was pretty excited to go. It's been 6 months since he has played golf. He had back surgery to repair a herniated disc. The doctor said he had to wait 6 months to play. So anyway, he was excited to go on this quick trip with the guys. It will be nice to have him home.

Monday

Last night I headed to Chino to go visit my Mom and Dad. I ended up staying the night. The boys are out of school and Todd went on a golf trip. I have to say it was the worst night sleep! We all slept in my old room which is pretty small, so all three kids were on the floor. They kept rolling into the bed or banging into the dresser and wall which kept waking me up. On top of that I had the baby in the bed with me and I was afraid that he was going to roll off the bed so I finally made room for him on the floor. He lasted there a few hours and then was back up in bed with me. Anyway, I'm excited to sleep in my own bed tonight!! It was fun to get to hang out with the family and have the kids play with their cousins. (I have a sister who lives right next door from my parents and a sister who lives with my parents... her husband is in medical school).
Today has been good. The kids have played well. Mack is napping and the boys are in the front yard playing baseball with the neighbor kids. On the way home from Chino I went to Living Spaces furniture store to look around. I ended up buying a new coffee table. I'm excited about it but I feel a little guilty spending money. I will have to take some pictures and post them. We are having a family reunion at our house (my husband's family) and it has sure put me in the mood to re-decorate. Well, it's now 4:00 and I wish I could take a nap. I better not and just go to bed early. Can't wait for that!

Friday

For some reason today really feels like a Saturday. The two older boys were invited to go to a friends house, poor Kate is here stuck home with me, and Mack is taking his nap. I think I will try and figure out something fun for us to do. She always likes it when I paint her nails. I just got done eating lunch and it just didn't hit the spot, I'm still hungry!! Don't you hate that! I'm ready to go out tonight and do something fun! The boys really want their friends to spend the night tonight. Our friends have had our boys over a ton so I feel like I need to take a turn having them at our house. These particular friends are brother's and are the same age as my two boys so it's nice. I went a head and gave the OK to invite them to spend the night tonight, I told Todd he gets to be in charge.
Ethan has a game tonight, well at 4:00pm. Tomorrow will be busy. We have two baseball games (the last one of the season-wahoo!) and two team party's. Were on to Basketball now, it just started. It's one sport to the next around here. It's not as crazy as baseball and the boys are on the same team this year which makes it nice. Practices are here at the house and the games are only on Satureday's. Todd is the coach which makes it nice and he LOVES it. He is so good with the kids. I guess you can say it's sports all year round here at our house. As crazy as it sounds, I't a lot of fun!

Tired Today!

Today I am tired! I went jogging this morning at 7:15, everbody who knows me knows that I don't do that-hahaha. Andrea, the girl who I have been running with wants to start going earlier. I would prefer to do it at 8:30 like we usually do but I'm going to give it a try...
Today we did Music Makers at the church followed by a quick oil change and drive through car wash. The boys should be home soon from school. They are off until after Thanksgiving. Not much else to say. Hope everyone is having a good day!

Tuesday!

Well today started out with getting the boys off to school and Kate off to preschool. I baby-sat Drew, Mack is down for his nap and Kate is playing with her little friend Nate Thompson, he is so cute. He looks like a little surfer boy. I have been doing the usual clean-up around the house. I put my bedroom comforter in the wash and now my washer started leaking. I debated whether or not I should take it to the cleaners or try to do it myself. I guess I should have taken it to the cleaners. Now I'm wondering if my washer is broken!?!?! That's the last thing I want to spend money on right now.
Tonight is Mutual. The girls want to make homemade pumpkin bread, so that's what we are going to do. I'm glad it will be an easy activity. The girls will just come to my house. I only have 3 girls and they are really excited to do anything. It's great! My friend Shawna gave me a great idea, she said that she lays down at night with each of her kids right before bedtime one on one and asks them about there day. They talk about there highs and lows for the day. I thought I would try it and it was really fun. Trevors high for the day was when he won his basketball game at recess. His low for the day was when he didn't get to go on a limo ride to Chuck E Cheese. I guess all the kids who sold a certain amount of fundraiser stuff won a limo ride. So that was his low. Ethan's high for the day was when he got to play the game pickle with his friend Brayden Bagley and won. (I guess my boys are a little competitive)!! His low for the day was when he had to go return the hotdog dad bought at the snackbar because it was to cold. Dad wanted a hot one. I thought that was pretty funny! Anyway, thanks Shawna for the great idea. I'm going to try and do this everynight. She also said that every once and a while they take just ONE of the kids with them on there date nights. She says it's fun and it makes the kids feel really special. I never think of things like this on my own so if any of you have other great ideas, I would love to hear about them!

What's for dinner?!?

Well, it's 4:30 and I have no clue what to fix for dinner. Christina gave me some great idea's but I don't have all the ingredients. Trevor has a game tonight at 7:30. He got in trouble so I told him he couldn't play tonight. I need to stick to it and follow through, wish me luck on this one! I'm the biggest push over when it comes to stuff like this!
Today has been good so far. I got the house picked up and some laundry done. I had to go to costco to have them re-do the Christmas Card picture. They cut the very top of Todd's head off. It's such a pain to go to costco with parking and bringing the little ones that I was debating if I should just leave it how it was. Todd said NO WAY re-do it...so I figured I better go back. (You know if it was me that looked bad in the picture there would be no question about re-doing it-hahaha).
Today has been one of those days where Mack has been really fussy! All he wants me to do it hold him, he is crying as I'm typing right now so I better go!

Saturday!

Today started early, I got up and went jogging with a friend. I then came home and showered real quick and headed off to my Jenny Craig apt. I lost 3 pounds! I can't get to excited about that because I know it's because I had just gone running. I'm thinking it was more like 2 pounds, but hey I will take it-hahaha.
After I finished up at my apt. I headed over to Nordstroms, I needed to pick up my MAC powder (that's the only piece of make-up I splurge on, the rest I get at Target-hehe) Well, I got to Norstroms and they were having there semi annual sale! So whats a girl to do??? I ended up buying a new pair of shoes and a new dress. I'm really excited. I NEVER buy anything at Norstrom, but I love a good sale!!!
Then I came home and got everbody ready for Ethan's baseball game. There are only 2 games left so I figured I should go and watch him play. He asked me "how come you never come to my games". I made sure I was there today. It's just hard to go to the games with a 4 year old and a 1 year old. I end up chasing them around the ball park. So I was glad to go today. We are home now and I'm trying to get the kids to do chores. It's so much easier to just do it yourself sometimes! I would love to go out tonight with Todd, but we did just go to the temple on Thursday. Baby-sitters aren't cheap, so maybe we will just stay home and do something fun here. It got so cold and windy today. We are going to Todd's cousins missionary farewell/homecoming tomorrow in Orange County. One of the cousins is giving his farewell talk while the other one is giving his homecoming talk. It will be a good day tomorrow. Luckliy it's at 11:00am, and not 9:00am!

Thursday!

I can't believe that it's already Thursday! The week has sure gone by fast. I haven't updated my blog because it seems I really don't have anything exciting to say-hahaha. Today will be a great day! It's our stake temple day so Todd and I get to go to the temple today! I'm looking forward to it. We leave this afternoon. I lucked out and was able to find a sitter who does homeschooling so she is able to come during the day. We will probably go out to dinner afterwards. Today Kate has preschool and the boys are at school. Mack seems to maybe be allergic to peanuts? He has had little reactions whenever he has something with a peanut in it, so I need to have him checked out. I will be so sad if he is allergic! Life without peanut butter, and just the scare of how dangerous it could be. Our pool has a leak somewhere in the plaster and we are having such a hard time getting our pool company to take care of it! It seems that everything has gone wrong with the pool!!! So frustrating...I guess I should call him while I'm thinkaing about it.

Warm day today!

Today started out with a good run it seemed harder today, I can't believe how warm it was today! I was able to hit costco! I love that place. I went and got my Christmas Cards ordered, so glad to have that done. Costco really is the way to go for ordering Christmas Cards, they are so cheap. I ordered 75 cards and it was only 23 bucks! I came home and put Mack down for a nap. I tried to get the never ending laundry done and pick up the house a bit. I was excited to watch Oprah today, Kirsty Alley was on and came out in a bikini! So that was fun to watch... my fellow Jenny Craig sista!!! We went to Farmer Boys for dinner tonight. We never all go out to eat so the kids were pretty excited! Trevor's baseball game was at 7:30pm. I decided to stay home and catcht up on things while Todd and the two older boys headed off to the game. We will have to do FHE tomorrow night. Christina is so good at having FHE faithfully every Monday night. She is my inspiration! Check out fraserfurniture.net. It's such a cool furniture website. Love Friday's!

For some reason I love Friday's! Not much going on today, I was able to get a good run in this morning. Todd took the boys to school for me and they forgot there backpacks, with there homework packets and all. I have been trying to tackle the kids rooms. They were out of control, and I have managed to get some laundry done. It feels so good to have laundry done and a clean house! Oh the simple things in life that make you happy! There are no baseball games tonight so Todd and I are going to go out! I think we will go and get a start on Christmas shopping. I don't want to go out to eat (I gained a pound at yesterday's weigh-in-UGH!) so Christmas shopping sounds fun!

Weigh-In day!

Well, Thursday's are my Jenny Craig weigh-in days. I don't really want to even go today because I have eaten sooo much Halloween candy. Needless to say it's not been a good diet week for me. For those you of who don't know, I started Jenny Craig the first of July and have lost 25 pounds! Jenny Craig has the best food. It's been the only thing that has worked for me. I love it! I have 12 more pounds to loose (which seems to be the hardest) but I guess I will just keep on trying! Anna Hales has been over at our house today playing with Kate! They play so well together! They are so cute, they remind me of a little Christina and a little Kate.....FUN!

Great Day!

Today is off to a good start. I got up and got the boys off to school, then I went running with my friend Andrea. It was a great run, almost 3 miles! Then I got home and got the other two ready for a small little Halloween Party. Wednesday's are usually Mommy and Me days at the church where we do music and story time type thing. But today because of Halloween we got to do one more day of dressing up. It was fun! We are home now and I seriously have to get working on the house. It is so bad! Every room looks like a tornato ran through it! Later on today Ethan has a baseball game. I need to figure oout something yummy for dinner, any ideas??
