4 weeks old!

Life is starting to feel normal again...YAY!!

I can't believe Noah is 4 weeks old today. He is so fun!!

Update on the rest of us...

Trevor and Ethan are doing good in school. They are enjoying Spring baseball season. Trevor was so proud of himself (and I was too), he hit his first home run of the season (the ball went over the fence)! He got a shirt from the league that says "home run club" on it so he was pretty excited. He helps me so much with Mack. It's nice when your kids become old enough to be helpful. The kids have also been able to swim with the weather being so warm.

Kate lost her two bottom front teeth this past weekend. The first tooth came out and she was so excited when she got a dollar from the tooth fairy. A couple days later she lost her second tooth and forgot to tell me she put her tooth under her pillow. She wondered why the tooth fairy didn't come again? I told her the tooth fairy must of been too busy but that she would for sure come that night :)

Todd bought a new big screen TV for our front room. It's 72 inches! He is pretty excited about that, we had to order HD cable for it and I'm pretty impressed with how clear and crisp the picture is.

Todd was home all day Saturday (no baseball games:) so I left the baby with him and went to Kohl's. It was my first time leaving the house, it was nice to get out! I needed to get new clothes. I managed to get a new church outfit, 3 t-shirts, and a pair of jeans. None of my pre-pregnancy clothes fit and I must have gotten rid of all my "bigger" clothes. It's nice to be able to put on a regular outfit (even though they are a couple sizes bigger :).

We have decided to bless Noah the first of June, doing it this Sunday would have been too soon.

Mother's day is right around the corner...We are planing on spending Mother's Day with my family on Saturday night and then on Sunday with Todd's family. What are your Mother's day plans this year?

Venturing out...

Noah has really long legs, arms (and feet:) all of my babies are skinny! They didn't get that from me!! hahaha Noah is starting to be so alert, and awake a little more often. He really is such a good baby. I'm enjoying him so much! He sleeps good (as long as he is right next to me). I know.. starting a bad habit but when your tired you throw out all rational thoughts and do what you have to do to get some sleep! HA!

I haven't' been out of the house in two and a half weeks! My Mom called to tell me that everyone is coming over to her house for dinner tonight (well just my two sisters and brother and their families) and wanted to see if I wanted to come. The first thing that came to my mind was dang the baby will cry the whole way there and the whole way home...none of my newborns like the car seat at the beginning?!? It is so stressful to hear them cry and to sit there and not be able to do anything about it...! So I decided to venture out and go anyway. I think it will be nice to get out. Hopefully he will prove me wrong and sleep the whole time. I have already checked to make sure everyone is healthy so we are good to go!

My sister Carolee took Kate and Mack to her house last night for a sleep over. I can't tell you how heavenly it was! Really the hardest part about having a new baby is still having to take care of my two year old. I feel bad that he has been cooped up in the house for two weeks. I'm so thankful to Carolee for taking him and letting him have some fun. On top of that it was SO nice to have him gone and be able to RELAX. He knows how to unlock the front and back door (and does it often) so I have to be right there with him at all times to make sure he doesn't escape, which is hard to do when your nursing. Todd promised me he would get new locks put on this weekend.

My Mom did a costco run for me yesterday! So the pantry is stocked up again! Thanks Mom!

It's all about the baby...

I'm sure my posts for the next little while will be all about the baby :)

I can't believe how fast the first week has gone by! I'm feeling great! A little on the hormonal side as to be expected with me...but physically I feel great!

Noah is doing so good. I love how tiny he is, his soft pink skin, and his cute little cry...his life consists of sleeping, eating, and eating some more.... I can't imagine my life being back to normal but I know it will be...it is a little challenging taking care of a newborn and all 4 on top of that. The kids have been home all week for spring break. They have been good but do get a little bored. My SIL picked them up yesterday and took all 4 kids for the day...it was great to have the house all to my self. I got a good nap in and it felt great! Christina came over today and brought me lunch then took all the kids for a couple hours. Thanks so much Christina and Jaime! I appreciate all the help I have been given. Words can't describe how appreciative I am!

I am enjoying every moment with Noah. I feel so blessed to have a newborn in the family and to be able to experience all of this again!

Born April 2nd...

He is here and I'm in love! There is nothing better than a newborn baby and meeting the person that was growing inside of you. It's hard to imagine that this is what I was carrying around inside me all that time! He is so sweet!

Thanks Christina for updating everyone with the last post:)

I did wake up around 4:00am the day of my due date with contractions about every 10-15 minutes apart. Around 6:00 am they started to become more uncomfortable and about every 2-5 minutes apart. We got to the hospital at 7:30 am, I was in SO MUCH PAIN...how do woman do this? How can anyone experience that kind of pain (can you tell it's still fresh in my mind :)?

By the time I received my epidural it was 10:15 am and I had him at 10:57 am. It only took about 3 pushes and he was out. I can't believe how fast he came, it almost didn't seem real. I went from a 6 to a 10 and ready to push in less than 45 minutes! Epidurals work wonders for me:) This was the first time that I went into labor on my own and without pitocin. I feel so lucky, overall my whole labor was about 5 hours...No c-section..I feel so blessed to have a new healthy baby boy!

Everyone has been so nice and so many have offered to help with the kids and bring meals in. My Mom has helped so much, she has been here to watch the kids and make yummy food, clean, and she just does everything the way I like it, thanks so much Mom!

It's so neat to see the love that my children have for the new baby. It's priceless...I wish I could freeze this special time and make it last a little longer...

Todd ended up deciding his name, I don't know what was up with me but the pressure of picking his name was too much (can you say hormones)?? So I told Todd to just decide and Noah was the name he picked...Robert is my Grandpa's name so I knew I wanted that for the middle name....but I think it fits him well :).

He's ALMOST here!!

This is Christina posting for Kristen-she started having contractions at 4AM about 10-15 minutes apart, by about 6am they were closer to 5 minutes apart. They checked into Kaiser at 7:45am.

She is now at a 6 (1045am), had her water broke by the doctor, and the epidural in place (it didnt take on one side so they had to take it ALLL the way back out and REDO IT!!! she said it wasn't fun) she is completely numb at this point and super relaxed--

I will keep you updated as she calls me!! Hopefully updated complete WITH AN ACTUAL NAME too!!
