Venturing out...

Noah has really long legs, arms (and feet:) all of my babies are skinny! They didn't get that from me!! hahaha Noah is starting to be so alert, and awake a little more often. He really is such a good baby. I'm enjoying him so much! He sleeps good (as long as he is right next to me). I know.. starting a bad habit but when your tired you throw out all rational thoughts and do what you have to do to get some sleep! HA!
I haven't' been out of the house in two and a half weeks! My Mom called to tell me that everyone is coming over to her house for dinner tonight (well just my two sisters and brother and their families) and wanted to see if I wanted to come. The first thing that came to my mind was dang the baby will cry the whole way there and the whole way home...none of my newborns like the car seat at the beginning?!? It is so stressful to hear them cry and to sit there and not be able to do anything about it...! So I decided to venture out and go anyway. I think it will be nice to get out. Hopefully he will prove me wrong and sleep the whole time. I have already checked to make sure everyone is healthy so we are good to go!
My sister Carolee took Kate and Mack to her house last night for a sleep over. I can't tell you how heavenly it was! Really the hardest part about having a new baby is still having to take care of my two year old. I feel bad that he has been cooped up in the house for two weeks. I'm so thankful to Carolee for taking him and letting him have some fun. On top of that it was SO nice to have him gone and be able to RELAX. He knows how to unlock the front and back door (and does it often) so I have to be right there with him at all times to make sure he doesn't escape, which is hard to do when your nursing. Todd promised me he would get new locks put on this weekend.
My Mom did a costco run for me yesterday! So the pantry is stocked up again! Thanks Mom!

Oh he is so sweet!!

Hey! Who cares if they sleep in your bed. You do what you can to get some sleep right?? :)

Have fun with your family. You are lucky that they live so close to you to help out.

What a fabulous sister! I never had that opportunity living so close to family when my littles were young. What a blessing. Glad you were able to venture out. He really is a cutie. Hope the car ride went well :)

He is so sweet! Newborns are the best!

Isn't it awesome to have family close by? That was nice of Carolee to take the younger 2. It helps so much. I hope it was a good ride in the car. :D

He is adorable! Isn't it crazy how fast they change and grow?!

I NEVER slept with my girls, wouldn't dream of it...but with Brody I did and I am so glad. Not only was I able to get some good sleep (the only time he would sleep more than an hour was with me!), but it got me through the first 2 hard weeks. And now that he is big and in his own bed I am SO thankful I have all those tender cuddly moments in my memory! There is just nothing like a newborn...enjoy him!

He's so sweet Kristen! I'm glad you have some family looking out for you. An outing for your 2 yr old, a Costco run and a family dinner. Sounds like perfect service for a new mother.

I'm so glad you are getting some sleep! No matter where it is or for how long, it's worth it and you need it!

I always say it's the 2 year old that's hard not the new baby.

Everytime I have a baby I say I'm not going to let them sleep with me after 3 or 4 months, but I can never do it. Maybe this next time.

He is so sweet. O my gosh, I love that newborn stage. You have to enjoy it while you can because you know it doesn't last long.
